I’ve recently been revisiting Granny Game and was surprised by how effective it still is compared to many newer horror titles. The gameplay is minimal, the environment is limited, yet the tension feels constant and genuine.
The mix of stealth, sound-based mechanics, and time pressure creates a psychological experience rather than relying on heavy graphics or jump scares. Every small mistake feels costly, which keeps each playthrough engaging.
I’m curious how others here view Granny Game today. Do you think its design holds up because of smart mechanics, or is it mainly nostalgia? Also, how does it compare to newer indie horror games you’ve played recently?
